Management, Diploma of Recreation and Tourism and now completing a Bachelor of Arts), Amy's love of diving has led her to complete her ITC in Vanuatu. Her vast travel experience has allowed her to dive in Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, Cairns, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Hawaii and many more places. As a fully qualified SSI Instructor, Amy conducts many of our courses! Her professional attitude and energetic personality will ensure that you enjoy your diving experience.

Andrew
Full Name: Andrew Murphy

Place of birth: Athy Co. Kildare, Ireland
Background: Andrew arrived in Australia just over a year ago after travelling through South America for six months. On his way he stopped off in Fiji where he took up the sport of scuba diving and hasn’t looked back. Andrew has recently completed his Dive Control Specialist course and is now an important member of The Dive Shack's professional dive team. Andrew is a very keen diver who is always up for getting wet, so don’t be stuck for a dive buddy, drop into The Dive Shack and if Andrew is around he will be more than happy to go for a dive with you and show you around the Noarlunga Reef.

Background: After becoming a Master Diver with The Dive Shack by having the night, deep, wreck, nitrox and stress & rescue specialties under his belt, Damo recently made the step of becoming a dive control specialist! He has dived most (known and unknown) dive sites in South Australia and recently went to the GBR and South West Rocks for some amazing shark diving! He is looking forward to broadening his horizon by stepping into advanced deco and trimix diving and can't wait to explore overseas locations such as Truk Lagoon, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands!

Background: Emma W is one of The Dive Shack's instructors who loves to share her passion of diving and the underwater environment with others. After completing a Diploma of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, she decided to pursue a career in the diving industry. She has undertaken many adventures and has dived many of the known and unknown dive sites in Vanuatu and around Hideaway Island! Nowadays Emma works full time at The Dive Shack and is looking forward to getting back into the water for summer after having her first baby! So if you need any advice or equipment supplies come down to the store and Emma W will gladly help you out!

Full Name: Grant Moyle

Background: Grant has been enjoying recreational diving for many years. In 2008 he decided to progress to the level of Dive Control Specialist so he could broaden his experience and involvement in the dive industry. Grant has dived in almost all States of Australia and many overseas locations, such as Vanuatu, Borneo, Malaysia, Bali, Fiji, New Zealand, and most recently, wreck diving at Truk Lagoon. Grant's other interests include fishing and exploring the Australian outback. He also used to water ski but that hurts too much these days!

Background: Hollie is one of The Dive Shack's regular skippers for their Nauti-Nomad dive boat. Hollie knows exactly how to drive our boat and how to find the exact spots of South Australia's most beloved dive spots! When you're diving with The Dive Shack, she'll happily lend you a hand getting you safely in and out of the water to make your dive trip one to remember! She managed to get heaps of experience during her travels, especially by running whaleshark, manta ray and dolphin tours over in Western Australia! Don't hesitate to ask her about her time in Western Australia as she will love to tell you all about it!

Background: Josh is in Australia for 2 years to receive his Masters degrees in Maritime Archaeology and Screen and Media Studies. He received undergraduate degrees in Marine Biology, Spanish, and Environmental science. He has been diving on the entire west coast of the USA as well as in Hawaii, Central America, Bermuda, the Cayman Island and of course Australia. His love of diving has taken him all around the world, and has given him many interesting dive tales!

Background: Kingsley's grew into the water from an early age, and scuba diving was always the next biggest thing to learn. Whilst studying first year Marine Biology at Adelaide University, he finally had the chance to do his Open Water, and since then has progressed through the levels to become an Open Water Instructor. This winter he can be found in Cairns, building his experience.

Background: Paul is the owner and director of The Dive Shack. He began diving back in 1997 and has been trained by one of South Australia's most experienced and awarded SSI dive instructors: Neville Grovermann. Paul has vast experience diving throughout South Australia and spent several years living and diving in and around Port Lincoln and the far West Coast of South Australia. Paul's passion for diving has seen him travel all over the world diving many destinations including Malaysia, Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea. He is currently a Dive Control Specialist Instructor and a Respond Right First Aid Instructor.

Background: Pete is The Dive Shack’s newest member, specialising in Freediving instruction, his passion for the sea and freediving is immense. He will see you push yourself and your buddy to new limits and reach new goals. Freediving is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and Pete will show you how to Freedive for competition or just for fun chasing a crayfish or the odd fish or two. Pete regularly travels around Australia and the world from Egypt to the icy waters of Russia! So look out for Pete in the ocean or in the pool as he regularly trains to continually beat his personal best!

Background: Richard is one of Paul's mates and has been diving since 1997 (and was also taught by Neville Groverman). He is an SSI Dive Control Specialist (/ Assistant Instructor) after recently doing the crossover course. He has over 300 dives under his weight belt and some of the locations dived include Bali, Vanuatu, Fiji, Truk Lagoon, Guam, Solomon Islands, Thailand and every state in Australia. Away from diving, he is a keen water skier since the age of 3. He also enjoys going to the gym and swimming.

She is currently getting her Master’s degree in Maritime Archaeology at Flinders University and loves diving in South Australia! .
