This brilliant deep blue fish is easily recognizable as it is one of the most spectacular residents of deeper crevices under larger rocky reefs and drop-offs. They can often be found when diving one of the many wrecks of South Australia. It is generally solitary and as a slow swimmer, it makes small loops from deep within crevices. It can grow up to about 35 cm.
