A different kind of diving!
Directly after the Open Water course, you can take the Advanced Adventurer program to taste a couple of the almost endless possibilites you have when you want to specialize yourself in different ways of diving! You can also choose two specialties to start with and go for the Specialty Diver certification for which you will need to complete those two specialties and have logged at least a total of 12 dives. If you exactly have in mind what kind of diving you would like to do in the future, the Advanced Open Water Diver course is probably the way to go for you. To earn this certification, you will need to complete 4 specialties and log at least 24 dives.
The primary goal of any of the SSI Specialty Courses we teach at The Dive Shack, is to teach you the important skills in a fun environment! All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions and in-water training.
To start with these courses, you will need to make a choice of which specialties you want to do. The Dive Shack offers a large variety of SSI Specialty Courses as a basis for the continuing education ratings. The choice which programs you want to go for in order to reach your personal goals in diving is entirely up to! And don't forget that it's also possible to combine specialties, for example, combine the Boat Diving Specialty with the Deep Diving Specialty! Computer Diving Specialty
The SSI Computer Diving Specialty course is designed to make you understand dive computers. Learning how to plan your dive with a dive table is extremely important, because it will develop an understanding of the decompression theory. However, the modern diver doesn't dive a square profile, but instead goes multi-level diving, which can only be planned with a special type of table or a dive computer.
